I am planning on planting the roses on the left side of the driveway... you can't see it in this picture. I have pink roses underneath the front windows.
It was a great day to go to the nursery, the weather wonderful.... warm and sunny.
I wandered around for awhile enjoying the nursery. The first thing that caught my eye was a yellow adirondack chair. I have one in my backyard that was painted purple one year and red the next. After seeing this yellow one, I think the next trip I make is to the paint store!!

I found the roses I wanted pretty quickly....I decided on a shrub type rose that grows between 2' - 4' high and in a round shape. They should work well along the side of the driveway.
I love yellow roses, they are my favorite!! And I was able to find what I wanted in yellow!!
All in all a great Saturday. So glad I went today, tomorrow the weather in the Santa Clara Valley turns cooler and next week we will see rain.

'Can't wait to see the roses in bloom! When we lived in Portland the bushes were everywhere! The climbers were even on the telephone poles. Hope you are enjoying your spring!

ReplyDeleteI love Roses. Had to leave all 15 of my Rose bushes at our Las Vegas house. I hope the people that live in it now love roses. I sure do miss my Rose bushes. We are planting Rose bushes here at our new home in TX. Going this weekend to buy them. If you don't have a Mr.Lincoln rose bush, get one. Mine in Vegas was BEAUTIFUL! All mine were but Mr. Lincoln was my favorite and the roses really large.
ReplyDeleteP.S. :-) I didn't loose any weight and I didn't gain any. Sooooo, that was ok. Next week I'm going to loose some. I have to stay away from the goodies. Have to eat nuts, grapes, etc. Hope you lost some lbs.
