The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane

Today I am sharing a book called The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane. The last book I shared was about a mailman too. I seem to be drawn to stories about mail....maybe that's because I am enjoying receiving more personnel mail since I've started blogging. Tag swaps and little notes from my blogging pals. Mail that I'm waiting for, and envelopes that come as surprises!

Anyway...

The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane.....

is a sweet story about Mrs. Pig who never receives any mail. All the other folks who live on Bayberry Lane receive mail regularly. The little mailman worries about this and decides he knows how to fix it. He sits down and invites all the neighbors who live on Bayberry Lane to Mrs. Pig's home for a little get together.
Mrs. Pig waits patiently by her mailbox but the Little Mailman just passes by her mailbox..he delivers to Mrs. Duck and leaves tulip bulbs for Mr. Turtle

Mrs. Pig was a wonderful baker and always baked on Fridays... the Little Mailman decides that he should invite the neighborhood to a little party at Mrs. Pig's house...on a Friday to enjoy her baking. This would be a wonderful way for Mrs Pig to make new friends
Mrs Pig is so excited to see all the neighbors
and they enjoy a game of croquet
the next day Mrs. Pig receives several thank you notes from her neighbors! And she continues to receive mail now from her new friends!!
Mission accomplished by the Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane..he was one busy mailman, delivering mail to all the neighbors on Bayberry Lane!
I just love the pictures in this book!! It is one of my favorites and was one of my girls favorites too!!

  17. This was one of my favorite books. I passed it along to my kids and just found it in the basement. Thinking that I would give it to my grandkids, I started to read it, but the dust made me sneeze. Thought I would get a new copy on Amazon where it sells for $152.00!!!!!
