This Wreath Is Staying!

Like many of you I took down my Christmas decorations this past week.  And when I look around the house it feels a little empty.

But I have decided to keep one wreath up and change it for the different holidays and seasons.

This is my kitchen window decorated for Christmas.  As you come up to the front door you see this window.....the wreath is decorated on both sides, so you can see it from outside and inside.

I picked this wreath up several years ago at the Alameda Flea Market, and added the greenery and larger ornaments.

Next up for this window sill and wreath?????

Valentine's!!!

Happy Monday!!

  3. Great idea, and your wreath is pretty and has a nice wintery look. I do a similar thing with a 2 ft pink feather tree, it goes from Christmas to valentines day to spring pretty easily and thats great for someone who is too busy to get carried away :) E

  5. I agree - keep it up! I hesitated yesterday when I took down the rest of our decs, whether to leave the wreath on the front door or not. I decided not...but on further reflection, I may just go and haul it out of the garage again. Thanks for the encouragement!

  8. I love that wreath. It has amazing potential for seasonal makeovers. I haven't taken down my putz snow covered village from the living room fireplace mantle. I just can't bring myself to pack it away.

  11. Hi you! I spose you California Girls don't do Snowmen in January, do you? Smiles...straight on to Valentines Day! I hate undecorating so the snowmen all stay out thru March (the snowiest month) and then spring comes!

  13. I just feel so bad when I am so envious. But, I must be true to myself and let you know that I am seriously envious of that cute bottlebrush wreath! I can see it all Valentinesy, Eastery, 4th of Julyee, Halloweeny, Birthdayee, etc. (like my creative spelling?) Can't wait to see what you do with it.

  14. I love your wreath and I would be tempted to keep it out for months. I am on the lookout now for any bottle brush ornaments. Yours and Claudia from Mockingbird Hill Cottage's ornies are simply wonderful.
    Have a sweet week,
    Blessings,
    Carolynn xx

  15. I wouldn't mind some vintage Santa mugs year round as well but that's probably just me. ;-) Alameda was my favorite monthly flea market when I lived in CA. It is *amazing* and I hope to get to it at some point this year.
