Last week I shared the Christmas wreath that hangs in my kitchen window and how much I liked having it in there.
And this weekend I spent a little time changing the wreath from a Christmas wreath to a Valentine wreath.
I tried my hand at making felt flowers, a first for me, and added a pearl to the center of the flowers....a vintage valentine, a little lace and and a silver heart finishes it off.
Not too much on this small wreath, just enough I thought!
It's not hanging in the window yet, I'll do that when I get home from work today....I was already to hang it and thought why miss a perfect opportunity to wash the screen and window...
Does that ever happen to you? Start a project and it takes you to another project?

The wreath transformation is adorable and so smart! Your felt flowers are lovely. Could an Easter wreath transformation be around the corner?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I actually have a wreath just like that one...never thought to bling it up for different holidays. Very cute, Chris!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it Chris!! So darn cute!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteSweet Valentine wreath -- so clever of you to transform it, with the cute felt flowers and all!
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, one project often leads to another just like you noticed the window when getting ready to hang the wreath.
xoxo Jane
The one project leads to another happens to me all the time. The wreath is adorable and will look so cute hanging in your window.
ReplyDeleteOh-so-sweet.. love it!

So, so cute! I love it - I have one of those wreaths, too. I should have kept it out! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes that happens to me all the time, which is why I feel like I never get anything done! Very pretty wreath! The silver heart ties in with the other bits of mercury glass on the wreath.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Chris...happens all the time!
ReplyDeleteI love this - and I hope it is ok if I copy your idea. I have 2 shabby white wreaths that I want to decorate up for V.D. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteProject that leads to another project or my menopausal lack of focus. "Oh look! There's the pinking shears, I was going to cut that fabric for the vignette on the buffet." Cut the fabric, lay it out. "Oh, did I put that snowflake pattern in the ottoman?" Go look in the ottoman, get it out. I wanted to dust the living room furniture yesterday. Find the dustcloth, forget to dust because I need to take the trash out....ADHD for adults???
ReplyDeleteLove your felt flowers. It's a darling Valentine makeover. Yes. All my projects lead to other projects...my craft room is an utter disaster right now because of that.
ReplyDeleteVery cute - that's a great idea to change the decor for each holiday!!! A little "wearin 'o the green" might be next????
ReplyDeleteLove your wreath. You did fantastic making your felt flowers. Love your wreath and it's great that you chance it for each holiday.
