Every year for 19 years, two very small Freesia plants bloom along side the Xavier Ct. House driveway.
I did not plant them, they were here when we moved in.
Every Spring I cut them and put them on the kitchen window sill.
Freesia is such a fragrant flower!
You can see a special tag in the background sent to me from Tammy, my Minnesota blogpal!
Just a gentle reminder that Spring is not far away!

How pretty. I can't wait for blooms and green. While we enjoy our MI winter, I'm definitely stir crazy for spring.

Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen surely smells like heaven with Freesia permeating the air. It's still icy and snowy where I live. No sweet smelling flowers yet.
Your blog is such a delight. I love your style and polka dot borders.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, my friend.
Blessings,
Carolynn xo
I feel the same way about my Daphne plant...love the fragrance and a sure sign that spring is coming....
ReplyDeleteI love the scent of Fressia! Lucky You!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great tag from the talented Miss Tammy!

Well, there's no Freesia here but I do have a 4' long icicle hanging from our roof!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and the sweetest tag from Tammy!! I am eager for spring!! Have a lovely Sunday Chris! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteHave you really lived in the same house for 19 years? You're so fortunate. The longest I have EVER lived anywhere is 5 years! enjoy your flowers! ♥

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week,
Meri
I love Spring and anxiously am waiting for the new growth that will soon be coming to my part of the world. I'l have to see if I can find some Freesia to plant. I am assuming it's a bulb?
ReplyDeleteYour freesias are beautiful! We had freesias at our spring wedding - lots of spring flowers actually.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you've done with the felt. Looks like it's going to be charming!
And....it might be too late....but I love the bucket (?) that was turned on its side at your front door for your Valentine's tea. Can you share more? I'm quite intrigued.
Such a sweet vignette, Chris. It does look like spring will finally arrive.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some pretty freesia! Or some blooms of any kind! That looks pretty and your window sill looks just like mine! Tammy is a real sweet heart!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie
