I'm Not Saying A Word!

So after almost a week of struggling to upload pictures to my blog, I can can add pictures to my posts!  After a lot of great tips from other bloggers, detailed instructions from Viv, and a couple of conversations with online support at Google, (not much help at all), I think I am back up and running.

So......

Time to share what Renee, who blogs at My Vintage Mending, sent me in Erica's Putz House Swap.

And the THREE, that's right THREE vintage Putz Houses that she embellished.

Love the little houses and all the vintage touches!

Renee also include a few other treats in the box she sent but, I lost those pictures! Trust me, they we darling!!

Gotta dash....work is calling...literally! 

Hoping to get our tree up this weekend, it's sitting in a bucket on the driveway!

Crossing my fingers that uploading pictures is not a fluke!!

Putz House Swap/Storage Space Issues

My partner for Erica's Putz House swap was Renee who blogs at My Vintage Mending.


I am still trying to figure out how to access the new photo storage space I bought from Google...I spent a half hour this morning on the phone with someone from Google...she was not much help!  Very friendly but....

So.....

I'm off to see how I can get more than one picture uploaded to my blog.

I'm not ready to give up yet, so stay turned for more pictures of the darling Putz Houses Renee sent me!

Help!!

I tried to put up a Thanksgiving Day post, with Thanksgiving pictures from Family Circle, 1964.......

BUT.....

I am out of storage space!! 

Not exactly sure what that means other than I cannot upload any more pictures.

Google gave me the opportunity to buy more storage space and I was willing to buy.....but I can't!!

I chose the plan I wanted to upgrade to, and clicked on the continue to checkout button and nothing happened!

So.....my question to my fellow  bloggers is this.....

What do I do?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Surprise, Surprise!!!!

 Last week the mailman dropped a package on the front porch.......I knew something was dropped on the front porch because I heard it!!

Almost like the mailman walked halfway up the driveway and threw the package. I thought to myself, whatever it is, I hope it survived the throw!

Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and discovered that Elizabeth who blogs at Creative Breathing had sent me one of her darling characters!

Doesn't she have the best eyes??

It never ceases to amaze me how creative Elizabeth is...her writing is heartwarming, and her creations have so much personality!

Elizabeth, thank you so much for making Christmas come early to the Xavier Ct. House!!

A Few Veteran's Day Favorites!

My Dad was so proud of his service to our country!

He saved many mementos in a special box....we often would sit together and he would tell me about each one. I loved hearing the stories!!

But something that meant a lot to him was his Army Jacket! His Eisenhower Jacket!

One of my Dad's favorite pictures was a panoramic photo of the Leadville Colorado American Red Cross. His mother and grandmother were members.

My great grandmother is holding the dark flag in the front row....anyone holding a flag had a family member fighting in WWI.  This photo is circa 1915.

A very special thank you to all of our Veterans and service men and women!!

Two and a Half Things....

Are off a very long list of things to do! 

I worked on tags for a White Christmas Tag Swap that Jane who blogs at Aralia Jane is hosting.....

14 ready to be wrapped and mailed to Florida!

I also finished my Thanksgiving wreath.......

I used the same wreath I did for Halloween....I cut off the Halloween decorations and added the Thanksgiving.

I also worked on my Putz House for a swap that Erica who blogs at Golden Egg Vintage is hosting.  I'm not going to share any photos yet, I don't want to spoil the surprise for my partner!

I am also working on reupholstering an ottoman, and two chairs for the living room....items 4 and 5 on my list!

Changing it up!

Growing up I heard my folks say how fast the time goes.....and boy were they right!!

Can you believe Halloween is over? 

I will spend the weekend changing the front porch of the Xavier Ct House from Halloween

to Thanksgiving!!

At least I can still use the pumpkins!!
