1. You visit the craft store every week to redeem your 40% off coupon
And you know it’s always on that big, expensive $49.99 item you would NEVER pay retail for!
Bonus points if you have the clerk scan your coupon on your smart phone.Double bonus points if you print out another coupon and give it to another family member to redeem right behind you in line.
2. You buy clearance fabric like it’s going out of style, but you haven’t sewn or quilted since 1995
Admit it, your closet is filled with plastic JoAnn and Hancock Fabrics bags you haven’t opened in years!
3. You’d choose an estate sale over Disneyland any day!

I see dead people craft supplies.
4. Your magazine stash could fill up a bathroom (or does)

There’s no way you’d give these away…that would be hundreds of dollars of good ideas going down the drain!
5. A 60% off sign means you’ll be spending a minimum of $300 at the fabric store

There’s some things in life you just can’t pass up, especially toile decorating fabric!
6. You buy lots of plastic bins for organizing your pretty papers

Your paper, however, still remains in stacks on the floor or sprayed across your desk.
7. You can bathe in your yarn collection.
8. Your family and friends let you go through their donation boxes to see if there’s anything in there you might want to craft with or upcycle
You end up taking the whole box and it is still sitting in your living room. Did I mention you got the box 3 years ago?
9. You save every jar, can, lid, and bottle because you will need to craft with it someday!

Thank goodness you cyber-hoarded all those Mason Jar ideas on Pinterest!
10. You scan Craigslist and Ebay to score good deals on supplies

Purchasing a Cricut cutting system for $20 bucks with cartridges just gave you the greatest crafting high of your life!

14. If your friend is in need of an urgent craft supply, they come to your house before they go to the craft store.
After all, you have every craft supply known to man!
The way I figure I could have worse qualities!!!
How many of these apply to you???
chris
Can I get triple bonus points on number one if I made my husband get the craft store app and his own coupon (while in the store) so I could get a second item at 40% off?
ReplyDeleteI definitely 'collect' fabric! I love finding a bargain or seeing something different. I like to sew but I could never use all of mine up! Very cute post! Wish I was close to your house to stop by! heehee!
ReplyDeleteI still have boxes of craft stuff unpacked since we moved. Down sizing is hard when you're a craft enthusiast!
ReplyDeleteI STILL haven't sent your box! I ran out of tiny boxes but finally found one! I could make up garlands 7 days a week but mail them? Nope! It's why I don't have an etsy shop. ♥
Fun post! I used to do all those things, but now I just love to see what others are making instead of actually doing it myself.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of my mother saying she enjoyed reading through a recipe as much as actually making it!
DeleteMy husband hasn't threatened to leave... yet. He doesn't realize how much "stuff" I have all over the house, garage, shed, ... :)
ReplyDeleteChris....I hit about 6 of them....but I am redoing and purging as I write this....no more buying, buying, buying just to give it away! Meri loves me!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRight now I am unzipping all of the digital kits I have bought over the last three years and organizing them....my computer looked worse than my craft room! LOL
I thought it was good to recycle (hence the saving of all that good stuff I'm gonna use someday).
ReplyDeleteDanielle
oh I definitely qualify!
ReplyDeleteyikes!
happy day!
xoxo
Craft supplies is something I seem to be able to keep fairly carefully controlled. But that's probably just because I lack of space to go hog wild with it.
ReplyDeleteI qualify, and I don't really even craft!! Fun post. laurie
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute list!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to use up, stop saving everything, and stop buying -- but it's hard! Had one little grandson here for "Art Camp" last week and didn't have to buy a thing. He did think it was pretty funny when I pulled out the watercolors that his Mom had used as a child!
Oh yes, I qualify! I can't let my kids ever see this post!
ReplyDeleteWhew! I'm not quite a hoarder? Why? No yarn! Other than that I certainly qualify.
ReplyDeleteYep! It's contagious and I LOVE it! Happy 4th of July:)
