Love My Neighborhood!

On my way home from work this morning, I stopped at an estate sale in my neighborhood........

And boy was it my kind of estate sale!!!

A small house with the items for sale in the living room and dining room, not jam packed with stuff.

A table with china, the most expensive piece on the table $3.00.....and I couldn't believe it!

A bread plate to match my favorite cup and saucer....it belonged to my Nana Cote'....so happy!!

A table with linens....everything on the table.....10 cents!

The little round, lavender piece has a rooster on it and has a pocket....not sure what it was used for

But the best find of the day......

A child's size cabinet!  And it set me back $5.00!!!

Cleaned up and a few special Nana touches, and the cabinet will be ready and waiting for a visit from a little girl named Margaret!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

  2. What great stuff, at such great prices! I envy that sunshine fill mild looking day. We had a snowstorm yesterday, ugh. That lavendar rooster pocket, maybe it held a hard boiled egg in the shell or a single roll? Very interesting. xo

  5. Oh, wow what beautiful linens. The little purple rooster looks like it might be the right size to fit the base of stemmed glassware, as a coaster. ?? I love the small cabinet, too.

  12. The circular purple rooster thing is a coaster that goes on the bottom of a wineglass.

  22. Me! Me! I know the answer to the little purple chicken! I got tons of these in my wedding trousseau. They are to enclose sachet packets that then go in your unmentionable and linen drawers.
What a lucky find, the matching bread plate. A beautiful pattern.
Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day! Elizabeth
