My Hometown!

Tammy's in Love sponsored a tag swap, called My Hometown.  This was one swap were I didn't change my mind multiple times.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I was born in San Francisco, and adopted by the best two people in the world. I went home with them at 3 days old. When I was 2 years old we moved down the peninsula to Mountain View, California. It's a city, a suburb, about 30 miles south of San Francisco.

The postcard of the cable sat on my mom's desk for as long as I can remember. We loved riding the cable cars! And the Golden Gate Bridge! How much more San Francisco can you get?

I decided to show some of the companies that call Silicon Valley home...oops! in looking at this photo I realize I have two PayPal logos...I sure hope my Prototype tag didn't get mixed up with the ones I sent to Tammy!  The PayPal logo on the upper right should be a Yahoo! logo!

Oh, well, my apologies if the prototype was sent out!

I wrapped the tags in a copy of our local paper, The Campbell Reporter.

The City of Campbell is located in the Santa Clara Valley, know for it's fruit orchards.

With 3 of my 5 girls living in different areas of the country, I often think what would it be like to live somewhere else....and I'm not sure I could!

  5. Humming..."High on a hill, it calls to me. To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars. The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care." Due to the individual wrappings I couldn't tell if you sent the prototype but you did send 10 tags, you forgot to keep one! So, you'll see one when you get them in the mail; maybe two Pay Pals!

  6. Hi Chris!
Oh...How beautiful your Hometown is...and, so spectacular in charm and history. My grandparents lived in San Francisco in the 1930's. They always shared so many wonderful stories about the area.
Your Hometown tag is perfect! What a clever creation to share.
Thanks so much for all your warm comments, my friend!
    Blessings,

  7. Great hometown tags, Chris! Love the GG Bridge & the cable car - also the back with ALL those companies we all love and use so much - Wow!
San Francisco has to be one of the most beautiful places of all, don't you think? Was out there a few yrs. ago for our son's "hooding" at Berkeley - a wonderful time - Muir Woods, special cruise on President Roosevelt's yacht (USS Potomac)and more, but not enough! Need to go back!
Such a clever idea to wrap your tags in the hometown newspaper too! I know everyone will love them!

  12. Chris, I just received my tags today, and I do believe yours is my favorite. I had no idea all those companies were started in your area or that THAT is where Silicon Valley is. I hope you have a lovely weekend, and thank you for sharing your hometown with us! Elizabeth
