To take pictures of our tea this past Sunday!!
So.......
I came home from work today and set the tables all over again!
I had 3 tables, 4 ladies at each table
I ended up using a variety of colored napkins, instead of just the pink and purple......and I mixed and matched the silverware....aqua and white. My friend Maria, the invitation maker, AKA Maria Stewart, made umbrella tablecloths for two of the tables. The bright colors and rainbow ric rac added so much color to the tables, I didn't need anything else on the tables.
The ladies are asked to bring their own tea cups, but today for the photo op, I added mine to the table.
Of course, I couldn't duplicate the amazing food the gals brought to share....tea sandwiches, a warm spinach pasta salad, fresh fruit, Waldorf salad, a jello salad with marshmallows, a green salad, and a caprese salad.
And the desserts were to die for! A mocha cake, and an angel food cake with pineapple, topped with fresh berries and Cool Whip!
Maria had seen a dessert dish by Martha Stewart in a magazine, and wanted to do something similar for our tea desserts. We went to the dollar store and came home with just the thing!
And what Maria made were these little dessert stands!
I can't believe that I forgot to take pictures! Any Hoo, at least you can get an idea of what a wonderful time we had on Sunday at tea! I always enjoy having the ladies over, it reminds me of how lucky I am to have such terrific friends!

Oh, Chris, I'm so happy to see your pictures - even though you had to recreate the scene :) Everything's so colorful and pretty! I've never seen rainbow rick-rack before, and those dessert stands with the cups & saucers are so cute. Did she glue them together? Must remember that idea!
